I swam yesterday. I also bought a swim cap and a new swimsuit. I had been going without a swim cap and using a very old suit. I didn’t want to buy the gear and then not get in the pool. I waited until I had a good solid habit going before I spent the money. Let me tell you, it was an entirely new experience when I got in with my new stuff on. I felt like I was floating a foot above the water and in some sort of speedboat that was compelling me forward much faster than I could go alone. No drag! It’s a wonderful thing. What a big difference the little things make. I feel like there is a better way to say that, but I can’t think of it right now. Anyway… looking at the numbers, I think it had a very positive effect on my performance.
