Welcome to my website.

I have wanted to be a writer for as long as I can remember. Before I even knew how to make letters, I was filling up little pink notebooks with scribbles and swirls. I just loved the way it looked to have page after page filled with something I had created. As I grew up and learned to read and write, I fell in love with writing even more. The power words had, and the beauty they could convey when placed in just the right order, felt like magic. I devoured the books assigned in school, and I branched out to anything that intrigued me. That tended to be the more twisted authors like Chuck Palahniuk, Anne Rice, and Hunter S. Thompson. But I also loved the humor I found in Douglas Adams, and I always kept writing.

Since those days as an angst-ridden teen writing bad vampire melodrama, I have grown up, held many jobs, and lived up and down the west coast. I am now the mother of two beautiful boys, and I have been the stepmother to three incredible human beings who are now full adults in their own right. Being a mother has been the most rewarding and heartbreaking role I have ever stepped into. And it has taught me a great many things about life and about love.

Now I spend my time caring for my boys, reading Stephen King and other horror authors, (I never grew out of the twisted), watching Sci Fi and writing, writing, writing.

As for what I am writing;

You can click on the link and check out my blog; it dives into some of the lessons I have learned over the years (and the lessons I am still learning). Also there are a few short stories I have thrown in for free. If you like what you find there I encourage you to check out my Amazon Author Page. There you will find my first novella, The Stars are Red Tonight; a short story that was published in the anthology, Chronicle Worlds: Paradisi; and the work think I am most proud of, my short horror story Sick. All of which are available on Amazon. I am also active on Instagram and Facebook. There you can expect many posts about my cat or re-posts about other people’s cats. Also you can sign up for my newsletter and receive notifications about new publications and promotions.

Have a look around, check out the links above, and please, feel free to tell me what you think.
